Merlin 4.02 reaction post
Yes, I watched the second part to The Darkest Hour, and long story short: I really enjoyed it. :)
I think I might need to watch it a second time, though, because there is so much that I want to comment on. I've been reading others' recaps and reactions to it, but not all yet. My brain is still a bit fried from doing math today, so I don't know if I'd be very coherent right now if I did a reaction post now.
BUT.
--MY OTP, IT LIVES! I adored all the Arthur/Merlin interactions in this, and how much love they had for each other. Sheer epic-ness! (Everyone else had done a better job explaining the details, so I'll just leave it at that)
--So, Merlin's magic saved Merlin from dying outright then? Or what? Why didn't anyone question this when they were hitching Merlin up onto a horse. And why are they doing that if he's so injured and near death? I don't understand. XD Perhaps Merlin's riding on Super Horse.
--The babbling brook revives him. Their version of holy water? Rather cool that the Vilia kept them safe while they slept.
--Gwen... you have statis now? Why are you permitted to talk? Because of your closeness with Arthur or what? IDEK.
--Dragon!! I love Kilgharrah. And Lancelot meeting him was excellent! And the little bow Merlin gave to his dragon bff. Awesomeness. (Hope they have Arthur meeting the dragon sometime next season)
--the reunion between Merlin and Arthur (and his knights)! The almost hug! Well, of course they're still acting like Ron and Hermione. What did you expect? Unless, of course, Arthur hugs him when his homies aren't around. XD They should have just lined up and took turns hugging Merlin. *nodnod*
--Arthur and Merlin stayed off to the other side of the campfire from the other knights, because they wanted their ALONE TIME. You know it happened. (relieved that your boyfriend is alive!SEX)
--Lancelot... I'm sorry, but I saw it coming. I wasn't spoiled, but when Gwen asked him to keep Arthur safe, and then Merlin told Lancelot that he was to keep Arthur safe, and the way they got so close as they made their way back to the Isle... yeah, I saw it coming. XD Also, I knew that Arthur or Merlin couldn't die, and since Gwaine was knocked out....
--Merlin is so badass with the scary lady (who looks a bit like crazy Hologram doctor from Red Dwarf... I thought it was her at first, until I remembered that it wasn't Gemma that played Dr Langstrum (SP?). But I still had the line in my head: "What dead and dead and dead all over?" when I saw her beckon Arthur toward her.)
--Lancelot will return, I know it. He hasn't kissed Gwen yet and got into a sword fight with Arthur yet.
--Can't think of what else I was going to say, but if I remember later tomorrow I shall post it. XD I have to watch it again, I think, adn take notes.
