Awwwww. Good thing Arthur is completely in love with Merlin. If Morgana treats all of Merlin's dates that way, he'd be old and alone before too long and she's going to look back at her behavior with regret. I know she's being protective, but still...

I always like an Uther who tries.

Morgana became way too protective since someone took advantage of him. Er, more on that in later chapters. XD But yes, it's a good thing that Arthur loves Merlin like he does. :)

I couldn't make Uther too much of a bastard in this, even if I tried. XD It would ruin the tone and throw me off the story... so Uther gets to be a bit more understanding, even if he secretly wants grandchildren. lol.

The word protective in this context means that Merlin feels that he needs to protect Arthur... not that he himself feels safe. Other than that I liked this:)

er -correct term would be 'protected', though I'd use 'safe' instead or something similar...

Uther's too much of a british gentleman in this, I think. :) He'd rather have Arthur reproduce, but whatever makes his son happy he will support him in.
I love me a protective Arthur too. I just can't see Arthur not being protective about Merlin (I cannot wait until season 4!).

They're so sweet. ♥ And I love your Uther. I just have a feeling it's not always going to be this easy for Merlin and Arthur.

Thanks. :) Yeah, Uther just wasn't quite as arseholery as I would usually write him this time, so I just decided to listen to my muse. I guess it worked out. :)
Well, maybe something would happen... but I don't want to spoil much. (Merlin's just too nice for his own good at times...)
