Possible sequel?
I've been working on my Doctor Who fic, which seems closer to completion than I thought. I guess it's better for my muse to write fics down on paper first before typing them and posting a chapter at a time. :)
So, I just got an idea for a possible sequel to my fic Fuzz in Time (where it is a x-over of Doctor Who and Hot Fuzz). Originially, they were just going to go back to Sergeant Angel and Butterman's time and the Doctor would stick around and help them with something (not going to say what). But a brainstorm hit me: before going back to their original time and place, there is a slight... hiccup along the way.
And so, here is a bit of my idea:
"Wait, where are we? I mean, when are we?"
"It looks like..." the Doctor peered into the monitor. "1973."
"Why are we in 1973?" Angel asked.
"Maybe it broke down." said Danny.
"What broke down?"
"The space ship."
"No," said the Doctor. "It's fine. It just... took us here."
"Why?" said Angel.
"Dunno. Unless..."
"Unless what?"
"Time flux..." the Doctor said.
"A wot?" said Danny.
"Sometimes there's a time flux, or a hiccup. something happened during the travel. we were on our way to Earth, to the year 2007, when something rerouted us..."
"So, were we going forward or back in time?" Angel asked.
"Forward, only we didn't quite make it."
"What happened?"
"Something must have happened to the time frame... in the year 2006."
"Like what exactly?" Angel asked.
"Dunno. I guess we'll find out."
"Wait, did you say 1973?"
"That's right." the Doctor grinned.
Angel made a face. "Will we have to dress for the time?"
"Righto."
"Yay!" said Danny.
"Bugger." Angel grumbled. He didn't want to wear bell-bottoms.
