all you get are these lousy links

Has it really been more than two months since I've posted here? Insert usual round of excuses, apologies, and what-have-you.

I've been spending all my time on a rewrite of my 2007 NaNo novel, The Extent of the Damage. It's going wonderfully, and as mentioned, taking up all my time. For approximately two months now, I've been intending to write up a nice long post here about exactly what's going on with this project, but see note re: time.

Instead, you get some subdued bragging about the new column I'm writing for the newsletter of the writers club I belong to. The column is called Writecraft, it's my (brilliant) observations on the craft of writing, and it will appear monthly. You can get the PDF of the newsletter and find my first column on page 7.

I also have a brief article in this issue about National Novel Writing Month. It's just one month away, and NaNoWriMo.org is scheduled to relaunch for the year tomorrow-ish. Get stoked.

As long as I'm handing out links, you may as well see photos from our trip to Las Vegas earlier this month.
