The past couple days of my trip have involved more family time, plus some exciting new activities. I went with my dad to his spinning class. (The exercise, not the fiber craft.) It was a good workout, but I'd have to try it another time or two to get the hang of how much resistance to use at different points. I'm not likely to take it up as a regular exercise, since I don't want to have to go to a gym for a class, but I can understand why it's popular.
I had a fun lunch with
42itous, who took me to her
local yarn store. I was good and didn't buy anything, mostly because I don't have any extra room in my luggage.
I also didn't buy anything, less surprisingly, at
Girls Night Out, an event focused on cosmetics, jewelry, and clothing. I went to this with some family and friends tonight, though it's one of the last places you'd expect to find me.
I was much more comfortable at
Sibling Rivalry (though unfortunately I didn't have my sibling along), which was all about the food. This great Boston restaurant has two brothers for chefs, and the menu consists of pairs of dishes, one created by each of them, which use the same main ingredient. It's a cool idea, and everything I tasted was excellent.
Some of you and your cats were disturbed by the size of 90-pound Schnitzel, so here are some photos of my family's smaller dogs, the Maltese. Keri might weight as much as 5 pounds, and Chexx is a whopping 11 pounds.
