Wednesday TV thoughts:

LOST - What Kate Did
So...Kate blew someone up? FUN! I think I was a little slow on the uptake last night because I somehow didn't put together lighter + weird smell = fire! So that was a nice surprise. Although everything after that was sort of a blur. So, Wayne was really Kate's dad? Well, that's just all kinds of fucked up, isn't it?

I admit I'm a little disappointed that that's her big crime (that we've been waiting to learn about since the damn pilot episode), but at the same time I get the feeling that was just the starting point to her wacky life of crime. I think there is A LOT more back story involving her and the marshal (like when did he start falling for her?)

JIIINNN! I was so happy for him in this episode. He got *cough* reacquainted *cough* with Sun and FINALLY got that damn handcuff off! That moment between him and Michael after that are so damn cute. Jin + Michael = BFFs!

"So...Rose's husband is white. Didn't see that coming." Bwaahaha! I love Hurley. Sometimes I think he is on the show just to act as the voice of the fans ("I want some freakin' answers!" anyone?) I mean, really, how many reviews for that episode had a sentence along the lines of "Wow, I didn't expect Bernard to be white! ...Not that I have a problem with that!" Hee.

Charlie! You're still on the show, yay! But please, go back on drugs soon so you have a storyline again and are a little less annoying. Ktnx.

Sawyer is awake! Yippee! I've missed that Southern jackass like hell lately. Kate telling him he needed a haircut was THE BEST THING EVER! Ha! Oh, and don't let my current icon fool you. Although that first kiss between Jack and Kate was all kind of pretty, I'm more of a Jack/Kate/Sawyer Sawyer/Kate shipper, really. Although I actually like the otp with the strike through it better! I'm sick. ;)

So, spirits of the past appearing in animal form seems to be a pretty common feature on that crazy jungle. You have Jack following a "white rabbit," Sawyer + boar = otp, and now the big ass horse. Wait a minute, rabbit + boar + horse? Chinese Zodiac, anyone? (Hmm, now I have the strong urge to watch my Fruits Basket DVDs. Yay!)

OMGWTFBBQPOLARBEARSCLIFFHANGER!!! I knew as soon as the film played that something was going to happen but DAMN they got me good with that one! What the hell, Walt? Your father has been going crazy looking for you and you're sitting somewhere playing around in chat rooms? SHAME! Although, this development makes me think there might be a parallel version of the island. This would be where the Others come from, and how they are able to move about in an almost ghost-like fashion. Bah, I'll stop there because I promised myself to stop trying to make theories and just enjoy the damn show.

Next week's episode looks so damn good. And I'm so glad the "monster" is showing up again, this will be the first time it has appeared this season, right?

Veronica Mars - My Mother, The Fiend
...

So, yeah.

Quite possibly my least favorite episode of VM ever! What the hell?

With all the hype surrounding this one, I was expecting something a bit more exciting and a lot less soap opera-esque. Oh well, we can't very well get Rat Saw God quality episodes every week, can we?

I was sort of hoping for more Trina/Logan interaction during this episode, because that's the only time I've enjoyed her presence on the show . Otherwise, OMG, Alyson! When the hell did you become such a horrible actress? I don't remember cringing this much during her Willow days, honestly. Charisma EASILY beat her in the (completely unnecessary) bitch off.

The whole mystery of this episode just made my head hurt, I'll have to watch it again because most of the names flew right over my head. Plus, I really didn't like the fact that Trina was adopted. It still works with the stuff we already knew about it her, but it makes me sad, for we technically have one less Echolls on the show now. :(

Clemmons = awesome.

The Beaver/Mac stuff was so cute, if not a little bit forced. But, really, how can I NOT get behind an OTP who come together because the girl makes the guy a website.

So, Meg's pregnant? Raise your hand if you saw that coming a mile away. Really, it was nice to finally confirm what most fans had been thinking, but now comes the Veronica/Duncan/Meg drama and ugh, I do not want it. Can't Meg and Duncan just, I don't know, move out of Neptune with the new baby and send Veronica the occasional annoyingly cute family portrait?

By the way, I don't think Duncan's the father. I think whoever wrote her that note is, though. However, I can see Duncan wanting to be "honorable" and helping Meg with the child and breaking up with Veronica because of it.

Speaking of Veronica/Duncan (gr), two things bothered me with them: 1) Duncan never told his parents he was back with Veronica? Okay, I'm flashing back to that Veronica!hooker scene from earlier this season. And, 2) Veronica going on her Celeste tirade seemed completely unnecessary and out of character. What I found funny though was despite the truly horrible things Veronica said about his mother, Duncan chose to yell at Celeste. WTF? Celeste is no peach but, wow, was she supposed to just stand there and take Veronica's crap? I think not.

Really, the only good thing about this episode was the Weevil/Logan war. Was so amused by Weevil getting taped on to the flagpole! HA! And now it seems their uneasy alliance has returned, which makes me very, very happy.

In short: LOST = (Sort of) Win! and VM = Meh.

Hm, I think I need to make a big Hex picspam this weekend. Enjoying that show SO MUCH right now and I'd like to spread the love.

P.S. WEEKEND!!!
