Deathly Hallows
I just finished the book 40 minutes ago...so I just read it all in under 24 hours. Whooooooo. *Blinks haze away.*
LUPIN! WTF! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! What the hell did she DO to him and his storyline in this book! I was so excited when it seemed like he would be joining the trio on their journey, thinking maybe we'd get some more info on what he had been doing with that pack of werewolves, and then that wtf-worthy argument happened and then he disappeared forever! Then he came back, all was apparently okay and forgiven AND THEN HE AND TONKS DIED AND LEFT THEIR CHILD (TEDDYYYYYY!) AN ORPHAN! I'M NOT GOING TO LIE, I CRIED LIKE WHOA!

(and Tonks) WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ALL OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS, WHY?!
I'm a fan of Remus/Tonks, but now I feel like it was the downfall for an otherwise great character and I'm sad/pissed that so many people seem to dislike him now. I'm so glad he was at least redeemed in the end, but for a good chunk of the novel I was convinced someone was using Polyjuice potion to impersonate him (even though I still loved him).
If possible, I dislike Ron more now than I did before (sorry). I don't know why I can't like him, I just...can't. The whole chunk of the book where he leaves Harry and Hermione behind did not help to change my opinion. And I was pissed when Hermione apparently completely forgave him and kissed him just because he made a random comment about house elves that he probably read about in his "how to manipulate women and get laid" book. BLEGH.
Fred and George on the other hand? LOVED THEM SO MUCH OH MY GOD! I was dying of laughter when George made the lame ear joke and Fred just shouted his disapproval when there were so many other good ear jokes he could've used! LOL. And then Fred died. ;_;
The fact that rainbow!sunshine!happiness!Kreacher made it through this book alive...grrr...argh...
That epilogue was one of the worst fucking things I've ever read (and not just because I don't like either of the final 'ships). I had actually predicted it would end with something like that, with a groan in my voice, and just thinking about it now makes me recoil with thoughts of bad!fic! UGH! WHY? I will pretend the book ends when Voldemort hits the ground.
Did anyone else think of that that Buffy episode "Doublemeat Palace" when that old woman had the snake crawl out of her neck? o_O
I was very much hoping that Cedric would be one of the dead people Harry saw, just so we'd have an excuse to have RPATTZ in the last film.
Poor, poor Snape. :(
But most of all I am upset that we did not get to learn who (LOL!balding!)Draco's wife was--I secretly hoped it was Luna, because I love her so, and because clearly I could not pretend that it was Hermione.
