I have a long history of hair-cutting people paying absolutely no attention to what I ask for. It pisses me off. And now I have a new scenario: hair-cutting people paying no attention to what I asked for FOR MY SON. His lovely skater cut went prep school. When I pointed out that this wasn't what I asked for, and explained what I wanted, the lady in question had to clarify several times. But what about...but how about... Ack, I say. She ended up -trying- to make it look like I wanted, but clearly she just didn't get it. So when we got home I had to cut it over again.
I have done this so many times with my own hair, it just really isn't funny anymore. I'd think that some sentences are not open for interpretation:
-bowl cut for first layer, all the way around, length just at the top of ears.
-second layer, in back, cut straight across, length at the bottom of ears.
-the same as he has now, just shorter
Bah.
