And the writing goes on
This has been a good writing week thus far, and we're hoping to have a nicely polished 50 pages to send in by Monday. The big revision is that it was decided the story needed to be told from 2 different pov. That's a big change! It adds a lot and I think it works, and it is keeping Collin from jumping pov all over the place or, even worse, using 1st person pov for our main character and then omniscient to follow everyone else. Ack! As Collin is a Libra, he does want to include everyone's pov.
We did have one little tiff: Collin saying I hack hack hack at his story and am reducing it to nothing, we'll never get a book together if I keep chopping it up....turns out he was concerned about the word count! Jeez. I thought he was questioning our whole writing relationship, but as soon as we talked about ways to flesh out the story, add depth to the characters and all that, he totally lightened up. And then I'm the silly one for thinking he doesn't like my revisions. He gets a sound wa-pack on the head for that one.
