5) Summaries of previous chapters (104-106) can be accessed via the
Gakuen Alice tag I'm having trouble seeing the furigana on the scans =(
- Continuing HSP's interior monologue from last week: PSP used his Clone Alice, over a long period of time, spread his roots through out this country, and using that strength to back himself up, he slowly started to turn the school into his private possession. And even now those jobs he claims are for the sake of the country(???) were actually to strengthen his own standing, using those students that he had chosen for these inside jobs.
- HSP clenches his eyes shut as he remembers Yukihira answering to what HSP told him, "Kazu-nii, I'll do it, for the sake of changing this school."
- Noda sadly watches Mikan still crying and remembers a scene from his past: a group of suited men stop him in the corridor (HE'S WEARING HIGH SCHOOL UNIFORM!!!! SO HE WASN'T BORN 20000 YEARS AGO LOL!!!) and as they ask to confirm whether he has the Timetrip Alice, they grab his wrist.
- There is a speechless tableau of Yuka being informed by HSP and Jinno, and then collapsing onto the floor in shock. HSP then makes the (again, "soundless") announcement to the school, and everyone looks shocked (AND MISAKI-SENPAI WAS ACTUALLY THERE!!! STANDING BEHIND NARUMI!! I LIKE THIS CHAPTER ALREADY). Luna actually looks horrified.
- PSP looks contemplative during HSP's speech, while MSP watches him from the corner of her eyes. The students' responses range from bewilderment at the "unexplained death" to disbelief to wondering whether it was an accident to suggesting it was suicide - and reasoning suicide would make sense since he got into a difficult position for having a relationship with a student.
- Yuka's collapsed somewhere crying, and Shiki and Narumi burst into the room. She says that it's impossible for Yukihira to kill himself, and even the official reason "accident of unknown cause" was unacceptable.
- It's hard to tell who's speaking in this scene, whether it's Shiki or Yuka, but they say even though HSP didn't clarify, it seems like something happened with PSP. Both HSP and Shiki(?) wanted to use Noda's Timetrip Alice to find out what really happened, but a few days ago Noda was suddenly taken away by those special guards and hadn'ts returned. Yuka asks why -- cuts to Noda holding up his hand and the Alice suppressor bracelet on his wrist -- cut back to Yuka running out of the room, saying this was very suspicious action by the PSP.
- Yuka runs through the school while someone's voiceover tells her to stop, that she's no match for PSP and Yukihira is no longer here to shield her, and it's the worst time possible for her to confront PSP. Yuka keeps running and thinking: "Sensei's not here... Not here... I don't want to hear it. This is just a bad dream. If it's a dream then hurry up and wake up. Where is Sensei..."
- She bursts into the room where PSP shelves the stolen Alices and sees Persona curled up in the corner. Persona tears up and says (*cough* Corrected...went back and re-read it. Thought it sounded weird the first time.) "Don't get angry...Don't get angry... Sensei becoming like that...I didn't mean to...I'm sorry...."
- Yuka realises what happens, that Persona lost control of his emotions and used his Alice, and Yukihira couldn't nullify all of it. She remembers Yukihira telling her to look after the child and gently admonishes Persona with "Didn't Sensei tell you to keep your Alice under control?" She realises Persona isn't entirely to blame, and she reaches out to touch his head, and asks him who put him here. He answers that it's PSP, and as Yuka draws back her hand, she's holding an Alice stone.
- PSP appears in the door behind her and says he heard that she's here (this guy has ears and eyes everywhere *shudders*). He says that he's concerned about her because he heard that she was quite badly affected by what happened.
- Yuka surreptitiously reaches for her necklace, which has four Alice stones attached. PSP tells Persona to get back to his room. Yuka prays silently for Kaoru to lend her strength, and says she wants to see Yukihira's body. She walks closer to PSP and holds onto his arm to beg him, ALL THE WHILE USING KAORU'S ALICE TO READ HIS MEMORIES. Finally Yuka! You're doing some thinking!! Yuka has now seen clearly exactly what happened at the time.
- PSP says coldly that there's no point trying to use the Theft Alice on him because whenever he's close to her, he always puts up a barrier. Yuka slips to her knees, and implants two Alice stones in PSP's body. PSP collapses and demands what she's done. She stands up and tells him that she knows he's always been wary of her Theft Alice, but the barrier only protects against that, not the Implant Alice...therefore she's always kept it safely hidden. Weeping, she says she's put in two Alice stones into his body, one is Yukihira's nullification, and the other is Persona's. She says he must bear the side effects of whatever happens. The revenge is for both the person who died, and the child who had loved Yukihira and was used. Yuka says that most likely even Persona's Alice won't kill PSP, "Because he's a kind-hearted person. But I can't forgive you. Using your Clone Alice for your own ends, not caring what pains you put other people through." Err...I can't tell whether Yuka or PSP screams this, but someone screams "You bastard, I should've done this earlier."
- Luna and a bunch of guards burst in to see PSP kneeling on the floor and Yuka looking slightly more composed. Luna still calls Yuka "Yuka-chan". As the guards help PSP to his feet, Yuka looks at Luna and says, "Goodbye Luna." She turns and walks out as Luna calls her name.
Comment: When I first read it I thought it was a bit forced for PSP to have just guarded against the Theft Alice and not anything else. But maybe that's why Yuka used Kaoru's Alice on him first, just to check that she could actually use other Alices. Just a thought.
We still don't get a very good explanation on exactly how PSP's Clone Alice is scary.....oh well.
