I’ve just added up my word count for this year, from Jan 1 to now, and I’ve already surpassed 50k just in fic.
The average novel is 80k-89k. It’s just starting to sink in for me that if I only focused on original writing for one year alone I could finish a novel. For some reason I always doubted myself when I thought about hitting that total word count or planning out a story that long but now I’m starting to seriously think about it.
