I've Got the Secret of Your Heart

I am so out of the habit of posting regularly. Life is good, it is extremely different from where I was last year. Some highlights:
Went to Ontario to attend M's cousin's wedding. We also got to visit some of my family and remind ourselves why we don't want to live in Ontario.
Went to Burning Man, which was amazing and ridiculous. I got incredibly sick right before we left, the first half of our trip I was completely ill and miserable. The second half I started getting well and started having fun. Need a serious do-over.
Locked down a permanent position at my job. The only thing is that it's 00:00 to 08:00 Saturday and Sunday mornings. Guess who has no Friday or Saturday nights? The job is going well, except I do need more hours. I'm getting better at being firm, but I'm still a total softy and let them get away with a lot. The overnight shift is basically laundry, cooking and cleaning, then administering the kids' meds and giving them breakfast. I'm pretty much vegetarian now, but I still get to cook plenty of bacon. I should really post some stories, it's just important to respect the confidentiality of my clients, you know?
Still volunteering. It's going ok. One of my trainers is very jealous I went to Burning Man. :D
Saw Delhi 2 Dublin, who very kindly performed in Victoria on a Sunday, so I could get silly. Fantastic show. They were opening for a Dub-step cover band, and they were a hugely tough act to follow.
Took an initiation with the OTO this weekend, sandwiched between two overnight shifts. All I can say is that the goats were remarkably well-behaved this time. It was very good, only I walked around all day yesterday(well, after I got up at 3pm) with a pretty heavy energic hangover.
Attending a lecture given by Starhawk this Wednesday. :)
And the big one...
We all got evicted from the Yellow House. It's a long story, I don't want to get into it, it makes me very very sad. The co-op was doing wonderfully, we got a lot of stuff done. Personality issues with the landlord got in the way. Irreconcilable differences and so on. So... M and I are getting a place together. He is starting his third year of a Physics degree and needs to get out of his place(a total party house) so we are moving into a 1-bdrm apartment this week. I'm...nervous, but optimistic. We survived Burning Man with our relationship intact, and burners reckon this a pretty big feat. We'll see.
It is super cold here today. Time for a cup of tea. Miss everyone!
