MAIN Chapter 2 part 2 Ruki wasn't going to allow any sort of relation between Gackt and his cousin. There was absolutely no possibility of a happy ending, especially in their situation. He could never stress it enough; date within the company, save yourself useless pain. He didn't want Shou to go through the same turmoil that he himself had barely survived. That overwhelming pain, and hopeless feeling of having no reason at all to continue living. There was no way that Shou, who was way too sensitive, and often overemotional, could handle such an aftermath.
He should know better by now, continued thinking Ruki, who was aware that Shou knew about him and Hyde. Early that morning, when the letter had dropped from his pocket, the drunkenness and the momentary will to forget had made him decided to abandon the letter. However, after he had finished his lustful business, as expected, the pain wasn't any less, the memory still very intact. Out of habit, he felt the need of holding the letter, and remembering where he had dropped it, he directed himself to the staircase, just to find it missing.
He sighed to himself, looking towards his cousin's room, the door was opened, the lights off. He knew he wouldn't have been able to hide what had happened forever, but he still didn't want people to meddle with it yet, or if possible, ever. As he entered the room, and walked towards the desk, as dreaded, he found the letter wide open on the table. Nevertheless, he decided on not doing, or saying anything. He was going to let Shou make the first move; if the cousin was going to inquire he would have maybe spilled the beans, if not, he would have left the matter at that.
He was now approaching a little square square, it was pretty late, probably around 2AM, but the square seemed to be in its high activity period, and cars were still racing through. It had been a long time since he had walked himself home. The last time was probably with … yeah, with him. Even as he was looking around, he could still spot places that inevitably made him think of Hyde.
The first night that Hyde and Ruki found themselves together in that same little square, was the same night he had stopped him from committing suicide. They were still seating by the pole in the station, and deciding to take some action, he resolved on looking at the face of the stranger in his arms, with the intent of talking to, the yet to be defined, man or woman. As he looked at the stranger's vacant face, he nearly screamed realizing his striking resemblance to L'Arc~en~ciel's singer. Hyde was know holding his shirt, still with a blank expression on his face, as if hypnotized.
Ruki began to gently bring them up to their feet, both still silent, Hyde still holding very tight to Ruki's shirt, as if he would really die by leaving it. They slowly made themselves out of the station, and Ruki slowly began to speak.
-Can you take a ... taxi home?, I'll wait for you until the tax- but he didn't finish the sentence as Hyde quickly began nodding his head in fear, still starring aimlessly at nowhere.
-Ok, ok, no problem … you can .. stay at my place … for tonight - he quickly replied. Hyde slowly nodded once in agreement, and Ruki began to lead the way, still holding Hyde by his shoulders.
Not too later, they were about to approach the little square; the place seemed to had frozen it's activity. Everyone was now directing themselves at one particular spot to the right corner of the square. Ruki couldn't tell what was happening because, of the herd of people, whom was covering the scene, but he could see what seemed like police car light's blinking all over the place.
He then got closer, Hyde still close in his arms, and because of their small stature they were able to easily get through the crowd. Journalists were frantically taking pictures, as police officers were dragging out people from a club, towards their cars. They stayed and watched impassively, when Hyde began furiously shaking in Ruki's arms, and forcefully tightened his grasp around his shirt. Ruki quickly looked at Hyde's expression; the man was petrified, fear and shock, running all over the already tired face. The singer then looked in the direction of the stare, and saw, who he later found out to be their ex-drummer Sakura, being taking by the officers. Ruki then, as sneakily as they entered, left the crowd, this time in direction of his apartment, with no ulterior stop, trying to comfort the shaking man in his arms, as best as he could.
Ruki had now been standing at the same spot in the middle of the square still staring at that right side of the square, he was brought back to reality by his vibrating cell phone. He opened it to read the message.
I'll stay at Pon's house for tonight, see you tomorrow
PS. I am not moving out.
Ruki replaced his cell phone in his pocket, and felt somehow relived that the young vocalist wasn't going to leave; it would have made the controlling job easier. He was about to resume walking, but he held his step as a yellow sport-car car cut in front of him. Taking aback, he slightly tilted his head backwards, and then instinctively looked up at the bigt screen in the square, as he could hear a painfully familiar voice coming out the of the square speakers
So where do I sail?
A ship losing control
My cry swallowed up
Lost in the regent sea...
Hyde's new single The Cape of Storms was being played. He smirked at the irony of the situation, and quickly getting himself as far as possible from the killer-environment, he mentally surrendered to the fact, that no matter how hard he tried, Hyde was always going to be there, tormenting him like an unbreakable curse.

Flash. Click. Flash
He quickly smiled at the photographers, while speedily walking
Click. “Hy~de sa~n”. “Aaaargh!”.
Yet another smile directed to the screaming fans, never stopping, just proceeding straight to the his destination
“Okaeri! Just one question ...”
He quickly smiled again, and this time waved at the journalists, as he was finally able to cross into a safer zone of the Narita Kuukou.
-O-KA-E-RI~!- Shouted a man, who had his arms wide open in Hyde's direction, with an exaggeratedly big smile on his face. Hyde's expression quickly brighten up
-Testu … Tadaima! - he replied while hugging the friend. As they freed themselves from each other, Hyde quickly looked around, nodding at all the staff members that were there welcoming him back, and quickly lost his smile as he didn't see the one face he had hoped to see.
Tetsu noticed the sudden frown on the singer's face and quickly said, while grabbing on of his languages
-I couldn't get in touch with him, he might be-
-Don't worry. He knows I was coming back. If he wanted to, he would have been here. - quietly replied Hyde, avoiding eye contact -Yuki and Ken? - he then asked, trying to change subject
-They are not in Tokyo at the moment, they had to go to Sendai to get things read for the return of L'arc~en~Ciel - said Tetsu with a very excited tone in his voice
-It may seem like you actually missed me? - jokingly said Hyde
-Solo life was fun but, Ken and Yuki also agreed that we kinda missed not being able to see our princess's smiling face - concluded Tetsu squeezing one of Hyde's cheeks with his free hand, which was effortlessly pushed away by the singer who smiled and replied in fake anger
-How dare you touch my royal skin - he then looked up assuming a snobbish expression, and they both burst into laughter.
Tetsu quietly observed the friend as their laughter slowly died. He had almost forgotten how exquisitely beautiful that smile was. Staying away from Hyde had being hard, but he knew it was for the best for he couldn't keep torturing himself that way. The singer had always only seen him as his very close friend, nothing beyond that, and Tetsu on the other hand, had always been very careful not to make his feelings known. He had long time resolved that just being able to see the singer's smile everyday was more than a blessing already, so he was content; or so he thought.
He had known, right from the start, that what the singer and Sakura had was something he couldn't compete, even if he tried. Thus, he had placed comfort in the many nights that the singer would come running to him, searching for comfort, from another of their fights.
He had been also very surprised at the positive influence he had had on Hyde, when he was finally able to convince him to go to rehab. Thus, during the hiatus period after Sakura was arrested, he had for the first time in his life, began to gain confidence, and decided to finally try to conquer his long desired princess' heart.
Hyde had called him telling him he needed to talk to him. Sakura was his eternal companion, but Hyde would always tell everything to Tetsu; there were no secret between them. Given that Skura was in prison, and that they had officially broke up, Tetsu decided that he was going to let Hyde tell him whatever he needed to, and then he would have finally made his confession.
Hyde came in looking unexpectedly ecstatic
-Something happened, Tecchan, something I never would have thought in a whole million years! -
-I am listening - quickly had replied Tetsu
-What I am doing, is absolutely forbidden, but I am not going to back-out, I can't back out, but I absolutely needed to tell someone - went on Hyde in excitement
-It's not about drugs - quickly interjected Tetsu
-Of course not! Give some credit! - quickly mumbled Hyde and then resumed talking
-I found him Tetsu! -
-Found w-who? - calmly stuttered Tetsu, who began to fear the answer
-My real soul mate, the man I was destined to be with - serenely replied Hyde looking Tetsu straight in the eyes. - His name is Ruki -
Tetsu nervously smiled, still keeping his eyes locked with Hyde's, wondering whether the singer could see the tiny pieces of his heart falling apart. A tear slowly made its way on his cheek, as he quickly got rid of it with the back of his hand. Hyde got closer to the friend in apparent concern.
-Tecchan? … what's wrong … are you ok? - he slowly said, as he placed a hand on the bassist's shoulder. Tetsu harshly grabbed the hand on his shoulder, startling Hyde, and then, regaining his composure, he sighed, and looked back at Hyde, with his usual smile, while kindly patting the hand he had aggressively stolen.
-I am happy for you … Hime - he managed to say
-Gush! You got me scared there, never thought you could get so emotional! - finally replied Hyde in relief.
That night, Hyde went on rambling about how Ruki was probably going to get a contract with PS company, thus making their relationship even harder. But, of course, he was made to promise that he wouldn't have told a living soul; he couldn't deny the singer anything. They then bid goodbye. Tetsu was left in still bright lonely room, but he was lost somewhere in the darkness of his heart, telling himself that enough was enough; he had to move on, somehow.
-Oh! I love this car! I was gonna buy it first though … - excitedly said Hyde looking at Tetsu's yellow Lamborghini. Tetsu recollected himself to his reality, looking away from the singer, always fearing that his thoughts or emotions could be seen. He opened the trunk of the sport-car and allowed Hyde to place his languages.
-Wow, it's also spacious too! Good ride, good ride - continued Hyde in a satisfied tone.
-Yup, I go only for the best. Come on let's take you home - replied Tetsu as he made his way to the drivers seat, followed by Hyde.
-Can I stay at your place? I don't feel like seeing Sakura yet - begged Hyde. And there he goes again, torturing me, thought Tetsu.
-Of course, do you even have to ask? - he said as they left the airport.
-Thank you Tecchan, your the best - replied Hyde
Hyde lost himself looking at the scenery out of Tetsu's car, it was still pretty dark, and Downtown Tokyo, was still good old downtown town Tokyo. He quickly looked at the clock in Tetsu's car; 2:00AM. He sighed and looked back to the scenery
-You know, everyone is talking about how good Kagen no Tsuki is going to be! - excitedly spoke Tetsu
-Oh really? … - uninterestedly replied Hyde, still lost outside the window
-Yea! And they keep playing The Cape of Storms on the radio like there's no tomorrow, I kinda got jealous - concluded Tetsu with a little laughter. Hyde simply smiled maintaining his stare over the window. As they approached a little square, Tetsu suddenly pointed out
-Look, what did I tell you! - Hyde looked up in the pointed direction and saw himself on a wide screen, in his The Cape of Storms PV. He quickly looked away, not looking very interested.
Tetsu was trying his best to cheer up his princess, but knew he was failing as he quickly glanced at Hyde, he then had to siftly redirect his attention to the street, as he fortunately was able to avoid a man who was about to cross the street.
Chapter 3 part 2 A/N: Yup the man that Tetsu almost hit was Ruki ^_^! Destiny is just so ... Can't even find the words right now LOL!
I really feel bad for Hyde and Ruki (poor Tetsu too), but it looks like Shou is going to have it rough ...!
