Nanowrimo
I have an idea! I have an idea, finally, five days after the damn thing decided to sneak up on me and go "HEY, WHERE'S YOUR STORY?!" really loudly.
I want to say it's satire, but I'm not good at being intentionally funny (or at focusing on Big Issues), so I don't know how far I'm going to get towards that...
Basically: Twilight has kind of taken over the Western world. (It actually nearly has in RL, I think. I just looked up baby names and on the 'most popular' list, Bella is up by over 10 places on last year. Eep.) Like the book, the movies, everything. Meyer is practically a god, and keeps churning out books; the cast of the films etc. all live on this gated street (with Pattinson being loved by all, ofc *eyeroll*) and yeah, big old Twilight love.
A girl, Avery, decides that she doesn't really like this all that much, but follows along anyway, even though she's sick of the vampires and the SPARKLE ¬¬ ... develops into her wanting to read other books and just get out of vampire mania...
It looks kind of lame now that I've written it out, but I know sort of where I'm going with it - and hey, I could just write 50,000 words on the world if I wanted to, I think :)
ANYWAY: off to write... and do english coursework. Oh, the joy.
