Welp, looks like I don't need to wait for another whole year to update because this needs to be vented out like, now. (I usually keep things like this in my PC and not online but...)
The below is basically all the feelings regarding Daiya no Ace Second Season, episode 33, Seido vs Seiko part 3.
First heart attack of the week: when Furuya gets hit by Masu's line drive. I was like, "Hieee!!" when it happened because it totally looks and feels like the high speed ball hits his head. I even repeat the scene and it still gives me the "Hiee!!" feeling. Every. Single. Time. (The line drive hits his wrist btw.)
I nearly cried when Furuya, driven by instincts because of fatigue and pain, manages to get the ball and throws it to 1st base. I swear he looks like he's about to pass out right on the mound after he throws the ball.
Let me tell you that Furuya is not my fave character. Heck, at one point I actually disliked him. But this part, this part... you have my respect, man. /salutes
Series of heartbreaks are next: Eijun replaces Furuya, but he soon finds that the Seiko batters are actually fucking scary. His outside corner ball gives Seiko a 2-point home run (he wonders what was wrong out loud and Miyuki just has to bluntly point out that the pitch is too high, thanks bro), and the poor kid just starts breaking down from there. ;A;
Add to it: Kanemaru's fielding error. Damn, the guy makes loads of errors whenever Eijun is pitching. That one time during Seido vs Ouya, no, it was two times right? One fielding error followed by the call that caused Eijun to balk? And then Eijun is the one going, "It's all right, Kanemaru!" when he himself is not all right it was so painful to watch. ;A;
Eijun is actually trembling, his eyes going yips mode (no! NO-- NONONONONOOOOOOO), but he still thinks of Furuya who has fought valiantly (if the word suits) and doesn't want to back away.
Suffering will intensify next episode (everyone are getting more nervous as the one scene they do not want to see will be animated - sorry, I won't spoil things). Look at that poor baby Eijun in the preview, he trembles even when he's about to bat.
