/rant
I'm up at school in my snazzy new townhouse. Got my room set up and it's very comfortable and very me. I put together a Gustav Klimt wall and a Marc Chagall one, too. And of course, the usual O'Keeffe, Van Gogh, and Orna Golan. My room is like a tiny art museum...yay.
I have the heat up to 70 and I'm still freezing my ass off. Also, I can't get the cable to work either, so I watched Be Cool, which was pretty entertaining. Can't complain with Travolta. I had to take a break from reading, organizing, and cleaning...hence movie time. I also made a smoothie with strawberry daiquiri mix, peaches, and pineapple. I think I may be a little too excited about my new blender and Anna's new tea kettle. This semester is going to be all about the fruit smoothies and chai tea.
My New Year's Eve plans have changed. Instead of having a girl's night up at school, Anna and I are going to hang out with Brandon and his friends. We'll probably drink wine and giggle for most of the evening (Anna and I), which is how I like it. Dave won't be there, which is also another way I like it.
I think too much when I'm alone. Tonight being one of those nights, I have come to the conclusion that I've been f-worded over again. Sometimes I really think there is a sign on my forehead with the words "VULNERABLE & GULLIBLE" blinking in fluorescent lights for everyone to see. Eh...but it's my fault really. With the way I handle some situations, I might as well be saying, "Please, lie to me, I'll believe anything you say...just act like you're interested." Oh the naivety of Tiffany sometimes.
You know that one commercial about the kind of people that make up the majority of tobacco company customers? I wish there were little people following men around with signs that say what they're really all about. Such as, (read following with the voice of the moviephone guy) "Yes Tiffany, this guy has all the attributes you're looking for. He's witty, intelligent, caring, thoughtful, passionate, will be interested and listen to what you have to say, and has a great smile...BUT: he has no real interest in someone like you at this period in his life, though he will flirt and give off confusing signals." (I know you're feeling me Crissy!) Yes, that would be quite useful.
I'm going to light my Mango, Grapefruit, and Passion Punch candle and finish my book.
