Jim's from space, where he lives in an inn with his mother. Their inn burned down...because apparently space inns are made out of wood.

Which is flamable even in space. Which turns out to be something similar to a vacuum. Vacuum, the--the principle, not the cleaning device. I think. I know they're different.

And that one should not be able to sustain a fire because it lacks oxygen and the other would simply put out a fire because it, well, has the tendency to spit out dust.

He also knows Silver from back home, and a man named Dilbert who's--well, okay, he's not a man. He's another creature completely. I don't know, his description was a little fuzzy, but he made a point about him not being human.

Silver isn't human, either, but this isn't about him, so uuuhmm...

Jim's more of a Viking than Sokka, at least in disposition. He's the strong silent type, you know? But he...he cries really easy. I know he doesn't want to, he always looks really pained when it happens, but he does it really easy. So, I don't know, maybe he'll grow out of it. I'm not sure how much growing he has left to do, though.

He's--he's--he's like Astrid. He's always trying to be the mature one.

And he's, uh...got some issues with his dad.

His dad left, and it really bothers him. He still has nightmares about it, and that's one of the things that makes him cry.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but he's not any better at fitting in than I am. Well, I mean, he blames himself for having the inn burn down, and the way he talks about it, it's not like it's the first time things have gone badly.
