Oh wow. This is amazing. My favorite bits (among MANY, MANY beautiful, poetic bits):

Luna tries to explain that the point of discovery is not knowing what you'll find when you start out, but none of them can quite understand that.

We have billions of faces, and there is always more of us for you to see, they tell her.

Her dusty ghosts finish their romp and retreat.

And I love how the guy in Australia was named Jack. Nice touch. :) *momentary PotC spazz*

The last part about home also gave me chills - and I'm proud of myself for figuring out the riddle! :D

Anyway, lovely, amazing, beautiful fic. It just wraps up so nicely. Great way to kick off the exchange!

Thank you! I think you really saw this the way I wanted it to come across, so I'm very very grateful for that!

And congrats on getting the riddle! I wasn't sure if I'd made it too obscure. :)

I feel honoured! That paragraph is really special to me, because I wanted it to show how travelling and seeing things is an experience that lasts. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!

Thank you, because without your beautiful prompt, this would never have been written! Really, I'm so grateful to have drawn such an amazing request - it was challenging, but such a worthwhile idea to explore!

I'm so glad you like this. And especially the line about the sea, which is particularly dear to me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your gorgeous comment! It really made my day when I saw it, and still makes me feel warm and fuzzy re-reading it.

Funny, I feel rather ... *constrained* ... at the moment, after reading of all those places around the globe. The last section was the best; very neat to tie it all back to her mind and her satisfaction with her home.

Hee, reading about travel does give you an urge to go globe-trotting, doesn't it? :)

Thanks for the review!
