Paste from the egyptians
So right now I am obsessed with Egyptian paste it is a self glazing clay that turns shiny and blue when you fire it. I have been experimenting with it and hope that I can make multiple cool things with my amazing students this year one theory I have about it is that I can turn it into slip and and coat some of the other clay with it. the whole situation is very experimental and I don't want to do too much until I can put kiln wash on my kiln shelves, because I don't want it to stick. I do hope this works, it will be insanely cool if it does. I also hope I don't kill my students egyptian paste is toxic, but I was assured by another art teacher that they will be okay so long as they don't touch their little faces or put their fingers in their mouthes, I should probably check them for cuts too. fun times and art nerdiness have fun be good
