You know, thank god they didn't play the amnesia card in the flash-forward or on the island like we were fearing when Jack returned from his vacation with the Others. That made me quit watching Alias for good.
He's also like Locke in Walkabout, the flashback where he's a sad, lonely loser who drinks alone and talks to whores on the phone. Erm... yeah. Everything fits. (Couldn't help myself... :p) You didn't...well yes you did. Well, actually, Darlton set up the parallel and you only found it. Only even hooked on Oxycontin, Jack wasn't as self-pitying as Locke. It was interesting that Sawyer telling Kate "you always have someone to go back for" was Jack's Sarah a la "you always have something to fix." I was so enthused after Left Behind about Kate maybe having learned something about herself and how her impulsive actions affected people she loved -- but that realization all got wiped out back at the beach when she started thinking with her libido.
Kate in the flash forward made me more upset than Kate in the island scenes of this ep, which isn't saying much, and I might just stay disgusted through the whole hiatus. I haven't made up my mind yet.
