I saw Dr. Hottie today! And - and - OMG - he was sooooooooooo adorable!
First of all, when I was waiting to be seen, the X-ray lady didn't close the door behind her when she left, so I could see out into the hallway a bit. I saw the doc out of the corner of my eye (just a glimpse - no eye contact or anything) and he went out of his way slightly to poke his head in the room and smile at me charmingly and say he'd be right with me. Awwwww. He didn't have to do that.
Then I saw his assistant, and shortly after that he graced me with his presence. And you know how he greeted me when he came in? "So how's my favorite complicated patient?"
I'M HIS FAVORITE! EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!
I laughed and said "don't you mean 'problem child' or 'troublemaker'?" He says he sees a lot of carpal tunnel, that gets old after a while. I'm a challenge so I'm fun ♥ Hee!
Of course, what he REALLY means is he's madly in luuuuuurve with me. Yup yup!
lolz - okay, so, some hand stuff: I'm doing well! Too well to consider any more surgery at this point. The X-ray showed him what he had hoped to see, with the way the bones are aligned. I took a pic with my camera phone:

See the holes? I didn't know those were there, I thought they would spackle them up after removing the plate. Apparently my body will do the spackling over time. Neato! I wish I'd taken a 'before' pic to show the plate (and the head of that one bone that he removed). Oh well. Doc is happy with my wrist's progress but it's still disappointing overall... oh gosh darn, guess I'll have to keep going in... ;)
I'm to continue physical therapy and keep wearing my regular splint at night, due to two of my fingers still "lagging". He asked if it affects my sleep, and no it does not, so yeah, I'll keep wearing it. But if I forget sometimes, no biggie (I've only forgotten once, when I was ubertired, and I felt guilty about it, heh). And I'm almost done with the finger splint, I'm wearing that 1-2 times a day now instead of 3, and when I master this tightness level I'm done.
And I'm supposed to see the doc again in 4 weeks, but he looked at the calendar and said "Oh, no, that's the week I'm going to be gone, can you make it 5?" LOL I don't know if I can "make it", can I survive without seeing him for that long? ;) Since I'm his FAVORITE he has to make SURE he sees me. Let the carpal tunnel people come in when he's gone, the assistant can handle those! :D
*le sigh* Happy Wendy is on a fangirl high <3
P.S. LJ isn't delivering notifications again. So I have to REMEMBER where I commented and go check for responses... lame!
