True story...
As I was listening to the radio on my way home from work the news came on. During the newscast, the announcer read a report about a kid who twarted a would-be robbery. It went something like this:
A mother and her two children were returning home when two strangers approached the family asking for cigarettes. The mother told her 4 year-old son to go inside and get some for them. Meanwhile, the two strangers proceeded to begin robbing the mother and even held a gun to her head, making demands. The son heard all of this going on as he was about to exit the house. He dropped the cigarettes and ran to his room. He put on his Power Ranger costume from halloween, grabbed his mighty plastic sword, and ran to help his mother. The son shouted at the robbers to let his mother go and started hitting the robbers with his sword and kicking them karate style. The robbers then ran off, but held on to some money and credit cards they mangaged to steal from the mother.
