Wow. I didn't realize how long it's been since my last entry. I don't check my homepage because I know when there is anything new on it and I know when I get comments because they're e-mailed to me. Anyway, I decided that after the weekend I had it was time to post another entry. Besides, I figure my friends might have wondered if I was even on this thing yet. Ha!
Rosie, Zimmy, Flick, and I took a road trip up to Massachusetts to be "entertained" by some business people. The trip up was fun and entertaining. I found out on the way up that none of us had ever been to the New England states, so it was cool that we were all experiencing this together. I knew Rhode Island was small, but there really isn't anything in Rhode Island. I even have a documentary of it with a voice-over provided by Flick. After the business thing we decided that since we were so close to Boston that we should go visit it. Unfortunately, the Harvard Yard was full so we couldn't park in it. And, contrary to popular belief, tonics cost more than a dollar.
We drank beer in a couple of pubs, walked around the city- albeit a tourist part of the city, and I got to spend some alone time with my wife while she enjoyed looking at horse-drawn carriages. All in all it was a great trip with a lot of memories, everything a road trip should be. The trip started at 4:30 in the morning Saturday and we got home at 3:30 Sunday morning, just in time to get some sleep before having to be at church at 8:30...
The main purpose of this trip was to visit with and learn more about a franchise from the owners and people who work with the franchise Zimmy and I are interested in. It was very informational, with a little help from some questions asked by Flick. Nothing I learned about the franchise this weekend has soured my interest in it. In fact, after looking at the store in Mass. I am more excited about my own store than ever. I really hope and pray that I can get this thing going. Time will tell...
Good times, as always...
