damnnit. Why can't things go smooth?
My phone got some soda spilt on it last weekend. And now it won't stop buzzing. wtf. The phone works in all other ways. I can call people and answer calls, I can text, I can charge it. It just uses up the battery really quickly now, and makes my ear go numb if I talk on it more than a minute.
Sometimes if I leave it alone long enough it settles down a bit, or starts to flicker, but anytime I open it, the buzzing starts up again.
I don't want to think about replacing it right now, especially after having to borrow money from my mom to cover rent, and other expenses she's covered for me in the last month.
At least I have an interview in the morning at Waffle House. hopefully I'll get hired and given some hours by the end of the week. Jeremiah is gonna talk to his managers about getting more hours and shifting to a day-time position, other wise he'll transfer to Burger King. I'm trying to talk him into applying at Lowes again, since according to the sheet I finally got to read, it was his background and not his credit report, that stopped him from having the job. He has 3 items on it, and only disclosed the first 2. Which, none of them are that hard to explain and ignore (improper phone usage from custody disputes between him and his exwife, bad checks 5 years ago, and then simple battery like 10 years ago from a guy pulling a knife on him, and Jeremiah breaking the guy's rib).
Jeremiah has been going to class every day for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Before that he'd only go like, once a week or go for a week and then skip a bunch of days, because his work schedule really didn't mesh with it. But he's so much happier now that he's able to actually go regularly. Plus April is letting me be the supervising adult now, so Connor can spend the night at our place. It'd been over a year since Jeremiah has gotten that, so he was really happy about it last weekend. We even managed to give Connor a bath while he was with us!
Hopefully in time, Jeremiah will be able to start his own school to teach kids and women martialarts/self defense. That's his biggest goal in life. And he's been teaching me self defense and how to fight and I've gotten a lot better. Much better than from any of the lessons Craig gave me.
