How much time are you willing to invest in this community?
A lot. I don't have much of a life at the moment, so I can spend countless of
hours on here everyday without a problem.

PART 1 – Canon

1. Have you read all the books?
Of course, I can't imagine applying here if I wasn't, I think that would be
rather shameful. Although I'm a late fan, I've read them all many times through.
I'm on Chamber of Secrets at the moment.

2. Give us your personal interpretation of each Hogwarts house (in
terms of atmosphere, mentality, intra-house relationships et cetera –
these are just a few examples).

Gryffindor
The Gryffindors are a very tight-knit and spirited group, if not the most-so out
of all the houses. Since the core of Gryffindor is based around courage and
honor, some of the most obvious and noticed traits, they seem to get a lot of
attention. I think the perfect examples of Gryffindors are Harry Potter & Sirius
Black. I find the following to be important traits of a Gryffindor:

Brave Undoubtedly a primary trait in a Gryffindor, Gryffindors are always
up for a challenge and adventure, even if it's dangerous and often reckless or
foolish. While some characters such as Neville don't seem to possess this trait
most of the time, it does definitely shows on occasion when need to be.

Noble One of the main traits that pops into my mind when thinking of a
Gryffindor is nobility. They all immediately jump at the opportunity to stand up
for those who cannot or are too frightened to defend themselves. They will put
themselves in risk to make sure others are safe, and have no tolerance for
bullies.

Emotional Gryffindors seem to act more on gut feeling and emotions,
rather than analyzing the situation and taking a logical solution. If in order
to something they feel is right, they have to break dozens of rules and put
themselves and sometimes others in danger, they will do it.

Kind-hearted All Gryffindors seem to have this in common. They all wish
to help others, make the world a happier place, and fight for a greater good.

Slytherin
I think Slytherin is incredibly misunderstood. Slytherins are not necessarily
evil, but hold their morals and ethics in a different light. They typically
value fame and fortune over love and nobility, and aren't afraid to take the
short or less ethical path to get what they want. But Slytherins aren't the
cold-hearted souls that they've been made out to be. They are not all Lord
Voldemorts, and are capable of having emotions. Some people also say that a
major characteristic of a Slytherin is subtlely, which I'm going to have to
disagree with. You mean as sublte as Draco, Lucius, Voldemort, Crabbe, Goyle,
Slughorn, and Snape? That was definitely the first adjective that popped into my
mind when those names came up. /end sarcasm. think the perfect examples of
Slytherins are Severus Snape & Draco Malfoy.

Cunning With a few exceptions, Slytherins are expert manipulators,
plotters, and schemers, who know what they want and know just how to get it.
They have no qualms with lying, twisting the truth, and sacrificing others to
get the upper hand.

Brave....sort of Slytherins are brave, but only when something is in it
for them, and only to a degree. When things start to look hopeless and aren't
going their way, Slytherins tend to try to weasel their out of the situation, as
opposed to a Gryffindor, or even one of the other houses, who would fight until
the end. But Slytherins can be the bravest of the brave when they wish to be.

Ambitious Definitely the first thing I think of a Slytherin to be.
Slytherins have a great desire for many different things, and are up for the
challenge to get it. Using their cunning, bravery, and other traits, they have
an advantage in accomplishing their goals.

Egotistical The major flaw of Slytherins. They think they are untouchable
and above everyone else, and have a hard time admitting, much less even
correcting, their flaws. While members of other houses are more likely to
realize if they're getting ahead of themselves, Slytherins continually think
they're the best and will get themselves in situations they're not prepared for.

Hufflepuff
The dreaded Hufflepuffs! Just kidding, although it does like many people have an
absolute fear of being sorted as a Hufflepuff, as if they're diseased. Similar
to the Slytherins, Hufflepuffs are strongly misunderstood. Hufflepuffs are some
of the nicest people you'd meet. They are loyal, hard-working, and in their own
way, incredibly intelligent. I think the perfect example of a Hufflepuff is
Cedric Diggory. Hufflepuff traits:

Secure For the most part, Hufflepuffs seem very secure with themselves.
They don't feel the need to constantly impress or control others. They are happy
and comfortable with who they are, and can see the bigger picture of life.. They
also don't typically need the approval and reassurance of other people. While
many may see them as naive, I think they have a great wisdom that is often
failed to be seen.

Loyal I can't think of anyone else who would make a better friend,
someone you could share all your secrets with and count on for the rest of your
life. Hufflepuffs seem like they put their friends before themselves, and would
truly do anything for them.

Hard-working & fair Like the Slytherins in a way, I see Hufflepuffs who
are very ambitious, yet instead of finding a clever or sneaky way to achieve
their goals, they work hard and stay focused. Hufflepuffs greatly admire and
respect others who do things fairly, because fairness is a trait that means a
lot to them. Hufflepuffs will continually work hard and stay fair without
reassurance from others. I see Hufflepuffs as some of the hardest people to be
turned to the darker side.

Kind Obviously, Hufflepuffs are very kind. They care deeply for others
and strive to fight for a greater good.

Ravenclaw
The house at Hogwarts that's known for it's wit and intelligence. It's a shame
we haven't learned more about them in the books. I'm not sure who the perfect
example of a Ravenclaw is, but it could quite possibly be Luna Lovegood.
Ravenclaw traits:

Practical Unlike the Gryffindors, Ravenclaws use fact and logic, not
intuition, when making important decisions. They try to be as rational and
level-headed as possible, and couldn't imagine going through life just making
decisions on a whim.

Intelligent & Balanced Not only are Ravenclaws typically booksmart, but
they are worldy and street smarts. They have a better understanding and
perception of the world than most people. Hence, Ravenclaws have nice survival
skills and could probably make their way through most problems that they
encounter that revolve around all different types intelligence.

Witty Probably doesn't apply to all, but Ravenclaws do seem to be
quick-witted and have a good sense of humor.

3. What would be your favourite flavour of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour
Beans and why (note: as the name implies, all possible flavours exist)?
Lemon-lime. I can't tell you why, I just happen to like lemons and limes, and
they taste even better mixed together.

4. If you were on your House’s Quidditch Team, which position would you
preferably play and why?
Seeker, most definitely. Seeker's have a big responsibility and a very large
amount of pressure put on them, and are the core of the game. I enjoy getting
the most attention in team sports, and having all the pressure put on me. I mean
really, who gets most of the attention when the snitch is caught and your team
wins? I'm also very swift and flexible, so I think physically I'd be up for the
position as well.

5. What HP conspiracy theory do you hold true unless it is textually proven
otherwise?Â
Are we allowed to do HBP spoilers? Just in case, ***WARNING: HBP
SPOILERS***

I still believe in the theory that Snape is good and is against LV. If you read
the book closely, all evidence really points to it. Dumbledore pleading for his
life seemed incredibly odd and out of character. He must have been pleading for
something else, something that only he and Snape knew about. Dumbledore isn't
afraid of death; when he was speaking with Draco, he wasn't try to save his own
life, but to save Draco's. He didn't want to see him as a murderer at only
sixteen. Snape kills him, because if he doesn't, Draco will have to. He was most
likely pleading with Snape to have the courage to go through with the plan.
Dumbledore really only has three choices. He can save Snape, die himself, and
let Draco become a murderer. He can stay alive , but Snape die. OR he can die
and let Snape live, who would not really appear to be extremely faithful to
Voldemort and allow him to get even closer to him. I think he would of chosen
the last. Also, the way Snape got so tortured over being called a "coward" by
Harry, is interesting. If he killed Dumbledore because he was a true Voldemort
supporter, why would he care so much? There's lots of other evidence, but this
theory is posted everywhere at the moment, so I don't really the purpose of
going any further with it.

6. What is your favorite book aside from HP and why?
I'm going to have to say 1984. I think it's a very important book that needs to
be read. There are lots of observations in the book that are not just fiction
anymore, but reality that has managed to reduce our freedom. It also gets better
as time goes by. It was written by Orwell to warn people against communism, but
now with the fall of that, we can interpret it as caution against other things,
such as the immense power of different governments and the media. If you live in
the States, it's incredible to see some of the similarities. Two Minutes Hate
with Osama, anyone?

7. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
Apart from it looking exactly like Hagrid's Hut... Well, that would depend on what
I need at the time, wouldn't it? At the moment I don't think I need all that much,
but I'll try to think of something. I think I'd see a big, comfortable sofa with
a bookshelf next to it filled with Harry Potter books only. On a desk next to me
there would be some painkillers, and a refrigerator next to me with any food I wanted
in it, and it all has zero calories. There would also be a mirror and all of my
make-up in the corner, so I can go look at myself occasionally and do my make-up.
Hmm, I think that's about
it.

8. Describe your wand and tell us why you picked that design.
It would be 8 inches. Short, but shockingly powerful. Made of mahogany, good for
transfiguration. This part I got from a test. Veela hair would be the core,
meaning that I'm slightly unpredictable but very powerful.

What's Your Personality Type?

10. Who do you admire most and why?
I'm going to say my friend, Charley. Charley is a middle-aged man from Britain
and is one of my closest friends. He's a genius, I've never met anyone like him.
He seems to know everything about anything, and usually have an interesting
solution to every problm as well. He's also very cunning and clever; he seems to
be able to get everythng to mysteriously go his way.

11. What would you like to have accomplished at the end of your life?
I would like to be wealthy and somewhat famous. Not a famous actress, a
dictator, or something else nearly impossible and cheesy, but well-known for
something. I'm ambitious, and think that whatever field I choose, I will be able
to accomplish much in it, and if my heart's in it, be famous for it. Wealth is
important to me, I don't want to always be worrying about finances, it seems
like such a waste.

12. Would you sooner commit a crime against your kin or your countrymen?
Well, that would depend on the situation and exactly what kin you're talking
about. There are quite a few people in my family who I wouldn't mind committing
a crime against. So, I don't know. Would depend.

13. What would your animagus be and why?
A bird. Transportation is easy, and a bird is so commonplace that I could do so
many things without being noticed. It would be quite a bit more difficult for a
snake or a large dog to eavesdrop. Possible, but they would definitely stand out
more.

14. What would your patronus be and why?
Definitely a dragon, out of all animals I'd rather have a dragon protect me over
all others. They are powerful, and they are very mysterious and rare, which
intrigues me.

15. What career would you consider if you were indeed part of the wizarding
world and why?:
Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, even though it's cursed. I have a
strong fascination with dark arts, and I think I would naturally make a good and
interesting professor. It's the perfect career for me. For a year at least
;)
