ETA: Okay, I've received a majority of Squib votes (along with a couple of Ravenclaw ones, which I think is terribly funny, as I was half asleep when I filled this out). Does that mean I should edit and repost my app, or am I supposed to be waiting for something?

Fictional role models make sense to me. Real people have too many real problems, so sometimes concentrating on people that aren't real, especially ones we make up, give us insight into who we would like to be in optimal circumstances. That way, we shoot for the stars and land on the moon—the idealistic goals are encouraging and enlightening, even if we can never quite reach them.

As for sorting you, however ... that is a tricky task. I didn't get strong vibes from any of the houses. A Ravenclaw would have put more into less or at least said more, somehow—communication is a skill of theirs which you don't seem to have, exactly. There was no part of Slytherin in you that I could see. Hufflepuffs tend to be a bit more open and warm with their personality, although your role model answer and the underlying vibe here does make Hufflepuff a possibility. Finally, Gryffindors are big on personality, something that you seem to be creeping up on but are still lacking.

I'm going to have to vote squib, but I want to make it clear that I do not hate you and that you can reapply if you do get squibbed. If it comes down to that, my advice is to:

Start working from what you have here so that you can save yourself time and won't have to retype absolutely everything. Go question by question. Take out some of the ramble, and make sure you answer everything in some way or another. Example: you may think of protection as a shield, but come up with a tentative patronus of some kind anyway, because what animal you pick tells us a lot about your personality. I'd concentrate mostly on the second half of your application, which is where the answers started to get weak. The goal is to tell us about you—who you are, what you want to do, what you act like, and ultimately where you fit. A bit of rethinking and editing would do that and let me sort you, but as it is right now, I have to say you're a squib—it wouldn't be fair to you to sort you into a house you don't belong in just because I was trying to be "nice."
