PART 1 - Canon
1. Have you read all the books? Of course, and I have the sixth reserved. I believe that I've read them all twice, actually, though it's been a while since the second reading. I'm sure after I read the sixth, all will be reread. Yes, I said after, since I forgot to start, and quite frankly, I won't have the time to read the first five between now and July 16th.
2. Give us your personal interpretation of each Hogwarts house (in
terms of atmosphere, mentality, intra-house relationships et cetera -
these are just a few examples). This'll be hard to do without relying on the obvious things that each house is known for.
Gryffindor- I believe this to be the most interesting house; its characters are shown to be the most diverse. They're not all baddies as in Slytherin, they're not all kind as in Hufflepuff, they're not all intellectuals as in Ravenclaw. Its students seem to be good people overall, and the most well-rounded that I've seen, as we have characters who have all -sorts- of personalities in it. The Weasley twins, with their pranking; Hermione, usually following the rules; Neville, who quite honestly seems to be a coward at first- there are all types in Gryffindor. Though we do see more of this house in the books anyway, since our main characters are all in it.
Hufflepuff- Good-natured, kind people, who are seen by others as being a little bit soft in the head. They tend to be suspicious, though, if I recall, based on the Justin Finch-Fletchley incident. Gossips, perhaps. It's a very helpful house, and it feels as if the students in it are very united with each other.
Slytherin- A house full of talented wizards and witches, who are focused on personal strength as opposed to unity with others. The students tend to be on the juvenile delinquent side of things, but that's not to say that all Slytherins are juvenile delinquents, or that all juvenile delinquents get put into Slytherin. Members of this house tend to dislike Muggles and Muggle-borns, and have wizard-superiority complexes.
Ravenclaw- A house of intellectuals, who aren't quite portrayed enough in the books.
3. What would be your favourite flavour of Bertie Bott’s Every
Flavour Beans and why (note: as the name implies, all possible flavours
exist)? Boston Cream Pie, because it's really good stuff. Mixes dark chocolate, that little bit of bitterness, with a sweet cake and filling.
4. If you were on your House’s Quidditch Team, which position would
you preferably play and why? Beater, because I'd get to beat things. Honestly...I don't see myself as a Quidditch player. I've never been athletically skilled in anything much, but for some tennis skills and equestrian. I would probably end up playing Keeper, because I can see myself doing an alright job of stopping the ball and getting it back to my players, whereas I lack the hand-eye coordination to Beat or Chase, and the attention span to Seek.
5. (Optional) What HP conspiracy theory do you hold true unless it
is textually proven otherwise? (i.e. Snape is a vampire, Ron is
Dumbledore, etc. -there are loads of these theories. Feel free to contribute
your own)? Aha. It's not entirely a conspiracy theory, but...I believe Hagrid to be something like 80 years old. I'm sure it's been done before, but some time while I was reading the books through, I worked out all of the ages of the cast, and the years in which the books take place, from Sir Nicholas's deathday gravestone cake. I should find that sheet of paper..
6. (Optional. If you can't answer #5, make sure you answer this
one.) What is your favorite book aside from HP and why? The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, because it's an incredibly detailed fantasy that creates a believable world, with believable characters...and because it's very well-written. Also, the fact that he was devoted enough to the story to create multiple languages for it boggles my mind and makes me love it even more.
7. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Apart from it looking exactly like Hagrid's Hut...I wonder if it is safe to answer this question. It would have a very large bed with a canopy and satin sheets, complete with a bedside table with a fully-equipped drawer. It would also include a computer, bookcases filled with anime DVDs, manga, and novels, as well as a drawing pad and pencils. Oh, and a pack of cigarettes that never ends up empty.
8. Describe your wand and tell us why you picked that design. 12", maple, unicorn tail hair core. Because where I come from, we have many maple trees, and I adore unicorns. Yes, that was very superficial, but off the top of my head I can't recall the uses for all of the parts of wands, and I'd rather not google it because I don't want to use outside resources; I'm trying to apply based on my own skill/memory.

What's Your Personality Type? 10. Who is your role model and why? I don't usually keep one role model, but my usual answer is my mother. I can walk with her through the woods and have her name every single solitary tree, bush, bird call, and animal that she sees. She's incredibly intelligent, and she's a wonderful artist as well. This was my answer when I was younger, but now that I've grown up a bit, I realize that she's really not someone to idolize. She doesn't seem to have any dreams, she doesn't show emotions...so unfortunately, I can't answer this question. I'm not going to claim to have a role model and make things up just to answer this question for you, that would be dishonest, and it's not me.
11. What would you like to have accomplished at the end of your
life? I would like nothing more than to have succeeded at -something-, whether it be completing college, getting signed and putting out a CD, or having a successful relationship with a person that I love. You never really know when you'll die, so...setting goals that could take forever aren't my thing.
12. Would you sooner commit a crime against your kin or your
countrymen? Countrymen. Committing a crime against my kin would simply be too painful. I am far too loving of a person to purposely hurt anyone close to me.
13. What would your animagus be and why? A 17hh Fresian horse, because I find them to be one of the most beautiful creatures on this earth. Honestly, it would probably be a dog, because they're mobile, but they're still small enough to not be suspicious, and to be easily hidden. As for the breed, I'll say a black Laborador retriever, because when kept fit, they're really rather beautiful, and quick.
14. What would your patronus be and why? My patronus would look like myself, because that would symbolize my protecting myself, [angsty explanation]since nobody else seems to want to. [/angsty explanation]
15. What career would you consider if you were indeed part of the
wizarding world and why? Studying and collecting information on magical creatures, because I adore animals and science. I'd love to do that sort of field work. I'd also perhaps consider teaching on the side, because of all careers, I think that teaching is the most rewarding. Getting to pass on knowledge to others is a wonderful feeling.
Per this rule-
11. If an applicant receives a Squib vote, he or she may alter their application to add information ONE TIME ONLY. After the first alteration, if the applicant is Squibbed again, they are allowed to reapply once.L
I have edited my application. I recieved two Squib votes before I ever got online, and truthfully, right after posting, I'd wanted to edit, but my post was not approved for a while, and when it finally was, I wasn't online. Therefore, I am altering my application for the first time now.
