"Morning, mate," Albus chimed, ducking under the table to emerge on the bench directly opposite Alastor. "Annoyed any other foul-tempered schoolmates?"

Albus made straight for the coffee and buttered crumpets, finishing two off before he'd filled his coffee mug.

OOC: Your title says Dawlish but you're playing with Moody.

Helena walked down the Ravenclaw tables, looking for an empty seat. She didn't always sit with anyone, particularly because she didn't really like anyone in her house -- or in Hogwarts. Oh, Atia and Myrtle and Cho were tolerable, Scorpius and she had verbally agreed to a shaky peace pact, and she had been too friendly with Roger -- she blamed it on Quidditch, whatever that was. Roger had tried to explain it but she failed to understand the fun of it ( ... )

It was breakfast time! It was a new day. And the people were so fascinating. And he wanted to talk to Helena Ravenclaw. And she was in his house, so technically it wasn't stalking. It was...conversation. Well, it would be once he found her.

Skipping down to the Great Hall, Lysander was grinning. Food was excellent at Hogwarts, better than the camping stuff they ate. Of course, he understood why Mom wanted that food - it was safe to eat. But there were fewer dangerous species at Hogwarts.

As the blond boy made his way down the table, he spotted Helena - at least the girl looked sort of like the drawing in the book he had read - and moved toward her, sitting across from her. He immediately went for the pancakes, delicious food, and looked up at her smiling. "Hello, I'm Lysander," he tried not to sound like he had stalked her from a history book. Was it rude to stalk 11 year old historical figures? They were just so interesting! And here she was...live.

Albus looked up at Helena and then across to where Alastor was happily shoving food in his mouth. Finishing his mouthful, he held up the coffee pot in her direction, offering to pour, "Would you like some?"

He smiled at the boy called Lysander. Luna's son. He chose to stay quiet rather than interrupt the boy's introduction and hoped that Helena would actually be civil as opposed to her usual demeanor when making a new acquaintance.

Helena gave a small start as Albus offered her some coffee. She was surprised at his civility - not to mention that he actually noticed her. She gave a small curt nod and decided to partner it was a smile. No need to make enemies, she told herself. Plus, she actually liked Mr. Potter. He had skill.

She turned as someone addressed her. Lysander Scamander, he said. She watched him. Was she supposed to care? Helena continued to look at Lysander. She tilted her head slowly.

Lysander grabbed some food, but he looked up again soon enough. Boy was it wicked cool to be sitting across from Helena Ravenclaw. She had become a ghost! So that made it a bit less odd that he was talking with her. Well, she hadn't spoken yet.

"How're you?" he asked before drinking some orange juice.

Helena continued to stare at Lysander Scamander. He was talking to her like they were chums. She was a little confused. Did he really think she was interested in him -- at all? It made talking a little more difficult.

She continued to watch him, her face passive. He asked her how she was. Why did he care how she was? He didn't even know her. Helena ignored his question and looked at the dark coffee in her cup. It smelled bitter. She wrinkled her nose.

Albus smiled a little at the look on her face, "You can add sugar if it tastes too sharp. Or honey. The latter is probably healthier." He nudged both the sugar bowl and a small pitcher of honey towards her.

"This is Lysander," he informed her. He wondered how Luna was.

Helena made a soft sound of acknowledgement as Albus suggested either sugar or honey. She decided to abandon the coffee altogether. She poured herself a glass of water. It was probably all for the best.

"...and?" Helena was still baffled. Lysander had introduced himself like it mattered to her. And now, Albus was informing her the same thing. What did they want her to do? Clap?
