Request for help in history!
I know there's more than a few of you who're into history. I need to find out quite a bit about medieval times in Finland, could you recommend some easy to comprehend / access source? I'm mostly looking for sort of newbie guide to it, at least on this stage. Online source is great, but if needed I can trawl libraries as well. So far my plan has been pretty much rely on wiki and google.
Questions like, What was families like? How did the government work? How was pagan religion/practices? General education? Church?
For exact era, something slightly before the Hansa was born, apparently a time when there was plenty of pirates. And such.
It's for a project for school, I'm involved in a game development seminar. How weird is that for studying computer science I have to learn about medieval history? ^^
