When you are going through hell, keep going

Man these past couple of days really sucked.

So since the last post I have been hospitalized at The Chinese Liberation Army Central Hospital (301) where my dad used to work. Apparently it was a food item bought at the street corners of Chianmen that did me in. Well that and the fact that I am just not used to the dirty streets all together. So like three days ago I slept and woke up with a fever of 42 degrees Celsius. I was like burning up so much that I couldn't even move. That afternoon it got worse and my temperature went up to 43 and my dad was like holy shit okay we are getting you to a hospital. So yeah I have been living at 301 for the past couple of days and it sucked.

First it was the boredom. There was nothing to do and I couldn't sleep. That and the fact that I was hooked to the damn IV injections for like 10 hours straight, so it got to the point where I was frequenting the bathroom, dragging the IV fluids with me every 10 minutes. Yesterday I went through 2 Liters of 9% glucose and 2 liters of sodium chloride and then 3 more bottles of antibiotics and 4 shots. Oh yeah and the blood analysis/stool analysis/urine analysis's were a pain in the butt. But I guess all those IV injections worked because yesterday my temperature was down to 38 and now I am at a healthy 36.6. However, I am still constantly running to the damn bathroom. Oh well. Lesson learned, never buy anything from strangers at strange streets in a strange yet exotic land.

My dad goes back to the US tomorrow and then I am off to live with my mom for the rest of the time. Hopefully I will have enough energy..

Oh yeah, Last night I had a dream completely in Chinese. It was the first one in 8 years!
