To Whom It May Concern

So, to kick things back into gear during this plot-break, and now that LJ is relatively back to normal, let's have a meme!

To Whom It May Concern

For this meme, you (as your character) are going to write a letter to another character in the game! But...not just any letter, oh no. We are going to use templates via The Bureau of Communication. These are mostly filled out letters that you can play a pseudo-mad libs with.

Here's an example:

There are two ways to do this meme!
    Way #1:
    • Comment with a blank comment (just write "< i >" into the comment box, but minus the spaces and quotation marks) and await your letter from others!
    • To "send" letters to others, head to the RNG and roll between 1-12. This number will correspond to a letter on this chart!
    • Fill out the letter ICly! It can be as serious or as silly as you want it to be!
    • Screencap the page (some computers will be different, but you'll have to hit the "Print screen" key) and paste it into Paint (or Photoshop if it lets you. Mine won't for some reason.) Save it, and then upload it to an image hosting site or your own Scrapbook in LJ.
    • Comment to the recipient of your letter! Whether you link to the image or insert it directly into the comment is up to you!
    • From there, go ahead respond to your letters--or even launch into a letter exchange!

    Way #2:
    • In this method, if you want it to be completely random, go to the RNG and first roll for a number between 1 and 19, and then again for a number between the numbers 1 and 12.
    • Once you have your first number, check this chart. Find your number and the corresponding character and that will be the recipient of your letter!
    • And with the second number, check this second chart. That number choice will lead you to the type of letter you're going to compose.
    • Fill out the letter ICly! It can be as serious or as silly as you want it!
    • Screencap the page (use the "Print screen" key) and paste it into Paint (or Photoshop). Save it, and then upload it to an image hosting site or your own Scrapbook in LJ.
    • Comment to the meme, titling who the letter is meant for in your subject line. Whether you link to the image or insert it directly into the comment is up to you!
    • From there, go ahead respond to your letters--or even launch into a letter exchange!

    Now for those letter types:
    1. Apology - Have you done something to anger a friend/acquaintance/stranger? Now's your chance to man up and apologize for your behavior!

    2. Forgiveness - So you've been apologised to lately, huh? Well, here's a formal letter to the person who wronged you informing him/her that you guys are cool.

    3. Thank You - Have you received a gift recently? Use this to express your gratitude!

    4. Invitation - If you have a special event/occasion coming up, you can use this to inform your friend of the upcoming event!

    5. Love Letter - Has your romantic interest kept you so tongue-tied lately that you just can't express yourself verbally? Well, strike up the band and present him/her with this letter and let it do all the sweet-talking for you!

    6. Complaint - Someone really grinding your gears? Instead of a face-to-face confrontation, let's start things out with a letter to said person to get a civil discourse going.

    7. Feedback - Ever notice something about someone that they just have to be unaware of? Well, use this to let them know exactly what they're doing wrong! Surely they'll appreciate the criticism.

    8. Marriage - Since options are a bit limited in Luministi (like the lack of parents to ask for their blessing, for example), use this letter and your best calligraphy pen to show your true intentions towards your beloved.

    9. Will + Testament - Life in Luministi these days can be quite treacherous and dangerous, so it might be best to draw up a will and leave it somewhere safe but where people can find it in case something...unfortunate happens to you. [Note: For this one, you can roll twice for characters since two are named in this document.]

    10. Gift Giving - Feeling generous and lovey? Do those feeling involve feeling generous with materialistic intentions? Well, attach this letter with your gift, and watch how your recipient's face lights up!

    11. Bad News - Not every letter can be good, unfortunately, and this one certainly isn't. But since you're in such a letter-writing mood, how about you share some of your recent misfortunes with someone who may (or may not) care?

    12. Non-Disclosure Agreement - Only you and the person you're signing this non-disclosure agreement with know what's really going on...

Note: For ones that talk about two or more people aside yourself, feel free to insert a name at random, or roll for a number between 1-19 and check which character corresponds to that number on this list.

So yes! Go forth, write letters, and have fun! ♥
