"Summoned," Fuu confirmed with a nod. Ever since Mister Braxiatel's question on the clue about language she'd had last time, it had been turning over in the back of her mind. What that clue had revealed about the why of them being summoned to Cephiro. Perhaps it was incredibly close to what was happening here after all.

"We are probably meant to bring about the benefit of change," she said seriously. "My pervious experience was with the same end in mind. The creator of that world had placed three other worlds nearby and also arranged for people from a completely different world - Earth - to be able to be summoned there." Oh, but the initial summoning was not for nearly so lovely a purpose as unified assistance and change.

With a small shake of her head to dispel the darkest of the memories she continued, "In the end the creator wished for change to happen in his worlds; for each of the worlds to compliment and help each other grow. It rings a bell with what the Mayor's greeting said - something about bringing in new blood and new technologies. Only, of course, this is a fair bit more sinister, with the whole being held against our will and all." ...Not that Cephiro had been a whole lot better than this! But at least the second time, they had stayed of their own free will.

"Electromagnetics and nuclear power," Fuu murmured. She had no where near enough understanding to truly grasp it, but she could still appreciate it. "Amazing. It's so small! Earth of my time is still in the fledgling stages of using the power of EM fields, I guess. But then, I suppose you already know that, Mister Braxiatel."

Turning to Miss Sophie she explained, "it's mainly meant for defence, but from my world's perspective it's more fiction than science." She shrugged. Mister Braxiatel might have a better and truer answer.
