[he trails off, frowning and furrowing his brow. 'disturbing' is only the start. he glances at the area behind Brax and immediately breaks into a run, heading in that direction. he recognises the area from his earlier perusal of the map. he has to see for himself, has to see him in person.]

then he spots Brax's figure next to the sundial. for a moment, he still doubts what he's seeing is real, but he brushes that thought aside.
and soon he stops mere feet in front of Brax. just stops and stares again and doesn't move, even as his hearts continue to pound in his chest. perhaps he's afraid of breaking the illusion... but he knows he can't just stand there all day so he finally says, softly:]

Yeah, well...[sniffs, running a hand through said unreasonable hair, spiking it more] I tried it to start with, but it just wasn't any fun. And I see you have yet to master the art changing your face, full stop!
[and he still stands there, unsure if he should reach out for Brax's hand and yank him to his feet, or have a seat next to him and steal share some of his wine]
