[For certain, here is a man with which Fuu can talk about dessert ^^] wind_of_reason July 11 2010, 04:53:52 UTC
[After dessert while music is playing and the floor is being prepared for the dance, Fuu comes up to talk with Mister Braxiatel.]

Good evening, Mister Braxiatel. How did you enjoy the meal?

Oh? As in, it was so good you'll have to reproduce them?

Now that is impressive.

[So he's not a cook himself? ...Well, he is a gentleman, in no uncertain terms. Perhaps he is just used to always having others cook for him.]
Why would you say that? Are desserts their specialty?

[She can't help but giggle at that.]

You seem to be a man of vast resources, Mister Braxiatel! How ever could a chef who does fish well have eluded you?

But wait- 'so you've been told'? Surely you'd know for yourself if you'd tasted it.

Ah, I see!

Well, it's all right. I made an inside joke with you too once - about being suspicious of a steamed bun. I guess that was just a bit of a reflex too.

[A reflex about keeping her experiences in Cephiro secret. But here, among these various people, it didn't seem to matter quite so much.]

[She contemplates that for a moment.]

Even if we were of the same world, we still might have to had cross wide gaps. If anything, I think our current situation brings us amazingly close.

[An all-too-innocent grin]
So! Would you explain your inside joke if I explain mine? It will make the gap narrower!
Or, would you rather keep it an inside joke?

Fair enough! [She gives a slight bow, then adds with a grin,] Yet I doubt that I could ever think poorly of you.

But, if I may then deviate from the pleasantness of discussing the dessert, I had a question for you.

I take it you went to see the town's 'historical display'? [Yes, the term was indeed too kind for the extent of the display.]

I'm afraid so. About all the drama - and depth - of a bad soap opera. If anything, it just gives more questions than answers.

I was rather impressed with the similarity of the founding father's name to the current mayor's: Calhiggins and Caligin. And how they surreptitiously didn't mention the famous family who was exiled and then restored. But given the small town atmosphere, I suppose that's not surprising.
