[unable to resist such an interesting invitation such as that--especially since he was unaware of any paths on that side of town--the Doctor has decided to dress for the occasion in a nice black tuxedo and bowtie and shows up to see what sort of starters they've got to offer.

once he has his lime soda, he stands by one of the many openings in the restaurant, sipping his drink while looking out at the view of the forest and the town in the distance while the sun begins its descent towards the horizon. he wonders just when the other shoe might drop.]

[glances up] Hmm? [then at his drink, though he knows what Brax really means] Do I? Funny, I ordered this sans gravitas. Couldn't tell the difference. Perhaps it's the new 'diet fizzy drink'.

[frowns, then sips his non-alcoholic, but still very yummy, lime soda] Nothing wrong with a non-alcoholic drink. Not to begin with, anyway.

So! [he pauses for a moment, letting the word hang out there before he continues] How are you holding up, Brax?

I'm wearing a tux, so anything is possible--with or without Bernice's presence. But you're right. This does feel all too...convenient.

Considering they had a devastating fire, it could have been worse. But for nothing to have survived in all that time... I think someone's taking the mickey on this one.

Her mind is full of what she'd read about Luministi's history that afternoon, and she hoped that the others might be willing to talk about it. Or the other strange events that had happened since the statues awoke, for that matter.]
