hi! i am just wondering how come that i can't view the archives of my friends' journal? i mean some of them are not available (as what i can see on the message whenever i click on it)

I'm not sure why that would be happening? I had a look in my journal/community's archive and it seems to be working fine for me. Were you having trouble accessing those? Or was it someone else's journal? If it was someone else's, I can only suggest that they've made that entry either friends locked or private. It'll show up in the calendar as there being a post made on that day, but once you click the entry, it'll say it's locked, and you don't have access to it. Or the person has disabled commenting so you aren't taken to the comments page when you click the original message.

Might just be livejournal having some problems. Give it some time and try again later. Other than that, your best bet is to try looking at the memories or tags to find what you need.

it was someone else's journal. maybe you're right it was lock or private. actually i tried clicking on yours :-) dated November 3 and the message i got is "there were no entries on this day".

I think the journal must have been locked. ;-) I do have an entry on November 3 but it's friends locked so that's probably why the entry didn't show up. But if you click on public entries on the calender they work.

Oh and I'm not sure if you're aware but I've created a icon journal luminous_ink So from now on all icons etc will be posted there.
