Now that the holiday season is in full swing, things are finally looking on the upside healthwise. Although I spent Christmas in the hospital, I am slowly but surely recovering. A lot of my symptoms have gone away or are getting much better. The doctors think that I will finally get some white cells this coming week, and hopefully once my body starts building up its own defense system, I will heal much quicker. I'm hoping to go home sometime next week. Fingers crossed!
As for Christmas day- it was more than I could have asked for. I was amazed at the great lengths that family and friends went to, to create a special hospital Christmas. I had many visitors over the course of the day, lots of presents were opened and delicious home cooked food was brought in and eaten (definitely preferential to the hospital grub.) My room was decorated with holiday cheer and I definitely was not alone, nor had a sad moment on the day. It was wonderful. There are pictures, and I will post them when I get em.
I hope that all of you who celebrate Christmas had a great one, and here's looking to the New Year for more health and happiness!
