It's a bummer to learn that you're in the hospital. I wish I could stop in and make you laugh. One overnight in a Delaware County hospital is torture enough to last for ten years, so I hope NZ's making you comfortable.
Congratulations on the New Zealand DVDocumentary. I haven't seen it yet, but I know it has to be good.
Things have become very solidly (as opposed to metaphysically)strange and fascinating for me over the last month. I'll have to write you a letter to cover all the shifts and surprises that have been going on since Election Day. Some new people have walked into my life along with some old ones returning, a perfect situation to ponder telling you about while I'm having a good cup of tea and munching away on scones.
I hope you're released from the hospital ahead of schedule and feeling miraculous soon. Meanwhile, I'll be practicing some serious nunchuk moves so I can clear a path for you the next time you're in Philly. By then you'll be a celebrity and need someone for crowd control.
Sleep well, Mel.
