I know what you mean about M/S spoiling all other ships, I think it's why I find it so hard to get invested in current TV shows and ships, because how could they ever live up to Mulder and Scully? I finished my rewatch yesterday (I only have IWTB left to watch), and it truly hits you in that last scene in 'The Truth', how profound their relationship is.
