okay so the full story here is he was born as li jiaheng on nov 1, but when his parents got a divorce he changed his name to wu yifan an his birthday to nov 6. then he and his mom moved to canada and they all called him kevin, then you know he went to sm and debuted as kris but anyway wu yifan is actually his real name, but people always said "oh you're wu...something fan?" and when you say it fast you kind of miss out on the wu, so wufan is just a really casual and familiar way of saying wu yifan haha xD theres no actual technical explanation O.O
