I fangirl early Roman history!
Umm...Book 1 of Livy''s history TOTALLY needs to be a fandom. Seriously. Aside from the very dry passages detailing the building of temples and sewers, Book 1 has got some really great action. Rome gets founded, fratricide happens, the Sabines are stolen, regicide happens, there's some awesome omens, kickass women, and then the fall of the monarchy.
By the way, Tanaquil is made of win and my new OT3 is Sextus Tarquinius/Tullia/POWER! I mean they're totally made for each other. The schemeing, the plotting...they'd be an unstoppable force.
I'm so into this right now, I've even got a song list going.
