(no subject)
I sit up in bed because my alarm's gone off and I have to get up because I've got my Latin final today, but before I go to the final, there's some important meeting I have to go to. I rush off to some place on campus for the meeting because I'm late, but none of the people there are students, they're all older ladies. Ok. I sit down and do some last minute studying for Latin because with Livy you can never be too prepared. Suddenly, I remember that my test is at 11 and that I'm horribly late. I run out of the room and dash to my Latin final. The final's being held in a classroom that looks more like one of my old elementary school classrooms than a college class, but again, that's fine. I burst into the room, apologize to my professor for being late and she graciously allows me to take the test. Instead of having to translate full passages, I've been asked to write dialogue in Latin for these cartoon Romans who are having a conversation. I decide to save this section for later and turn to a page where we've been asked to identify things about English phrases. The section involved a lot of IPA, something that I've never learned. I'm starting to freak out and then my professor tells me that she's glad I showed up because if I hadn't she would have failed me. No pressure! I'm just starting to try to bluff my way through the English phrase section when I realize that this is very, very strange. WTF is IPA doing on my damn Latin final? Then I woke up. Huzzah for summer!
How's that for some nice post finals stress?
In other news, the Toph over-tunic for my cosplay is almost finished! Woot! I even got to try out my meager sewing skills on making the belt! EEEE!!! I seriously can't wait to wear this. It looks awesome.
Also, popcorn that does not come from a microwave bag is straight up awesome. It tastes SOOO much better. This is what I've been missing!! :)
