(no subject)
Some girl asked me about who my best friends are the other day. My first thought was Chris but i haven't seen him since freshmen year of college. Then i think maybe Xander but again i also haven't seen him in more than a year. I really had difficulty coming up with a name and i could tell by her look that she was surprised. I think that was weird for her because she still keeps up with friends from elementary school.
I guess i'm used to losing friends, or rather losing contact with them. I remember telling my best friend in China i am going to United States and i'll be back next week to go to the beach. That was 21 years ago. Now i wonder if he's still the same chubby kid.
I'm not sure i have a best friend here in new york city. There's only a few individuals in my life (including family members) that i know i can be close with even after losing contact with them for a while. For those people i'm never scared that i would lose them. Eventually I must but they're all young for now. I wonder who would list me as their best friend??

She'll work as late as 2am with her architectural firm, she'll have house guests from Houston every week, and seem to have every person in the island calling her. I understand she'll want to stay at home when she gets a free morning. But eventually i have to admit i'm so far down on her list that i really should just forget about it.
