My goodness, it's been a while. . .
Sorry I haven't spoken to you in a while, dear LJ (and LJ readers). Been busy treading water here in good ole South Georgia. . .
Some quick updates:
I finally got promoted at work. I'm now a swing shift manager. This means that I can be a "real manager" running the store for about 2 hours every morning and then when a REAL real manager comes in, I get booted back down to a crew person. I like it for the most part (though getting up at 5:30 every morning is KILLING me. . .).
My Beastie is about to enter 5th grade in a couple of weeks. Gawd how time flies. . . She's been going to a local Boys and Girls club for the summer. They taught her how to swim. (Now to get her to PRACTICE. . .)
In about 3 weeks, my year of staying rent free at big bro's will be up. I found an apartment for us, but it's $715 a month. Doable, but a bit. . .erm. . .steep. . .My plans to purchase a house got placed on hold due to one point on my credit score (more on that later, I guess).
But other than that, we live. . . 8)
I'll be looking through missed posts over the next couple of days, catching up on people's lives (or at least, those I'm still friended to) and hopefully getting back to semi-regular posting habits.
