Is it fall yet?

I was chatterin' with rfj about how I'm looking forward to fall, and I might even gasp do some fall decorating, or something outlandish like that. And we got to talkin about punkin carving and such, and she told me that you can roast punkin seeds straight from the innards of your ritually-sacrificed-punkin, which I've never done before.



rfj sez:
[Take your punkin or other seedy squash of choice.]
so take the seeds from the guts
wash em good
get all the slime off
put them on a cookie sheet
salt em
and roast em

I sez:
Hi temp? or med?

rfj sez:
i try to turn them over half way through to salt the other side
i think med-high
and you can just sorta tell when they are crispy enough looking
like not too crispy
but crispy
