That was Skye's appraisal, and I find myself in agreement.
Amongst the things that happened were:
* I fell on the back steps. My feet slipped out from under me, and I landed on my ass. I could feel the compression go all the way up my spine. That was... interesting. I appear to be fine, although I was pretty stiff and sore yesterday. The sore could have been the yoga from Tuesday though. Hard to tell.
* I bit my cheek. Medium hard. I've done worse, but ow.
* I accidentally initiated a Rube Goldberg machine in my bathroom as I was brushing my teeth lastnight. Many things landed in the sink, but apparently the goal of the machine was to launch someone-who-shall-remain-nameless's toothbrush into the garbage. Where it remained.
* Our car decided it can't handle starting anymore. No warning. Just all of a sudden, the battery doesn't turn over. We were at a CVS at like 9p. Some nice guy helped us get it started. Note, it was so fucked that we had to sit with his truck for like 10 minute before the battery would concede defeat and turn on. Driving around for 30 minutes afterwards was apparently insufficient to allow it to build enough charge to start this morning. And I'm expected a state away for a concert that two close members of my family are involved in tonight. Our original plan was to drive it to the dealership, say "Here. Fix it!", and get a rental. Our new plan is to charge the external battery charger thingy we have for just these situations, get a rental, go to Baltimore, and try to start the car tomorrow with the freshly charged external battery charger thingy, then go to the dealer, etc. I suppose if that doesn't work, we'll call in our Hyundai Service Roadside Something, and have them take it to a closer dealer. (The one we like is further away, which is why we haven't done that yet.)
Gah. Ok, so it's now 8am, I can try calling Enterprise about that rental. ~sigh~
Update:
libitina (who is made of pure unadulterated Win) is letting me borrow her car today.
