I seem to have fallen into another reading bout - since Thursday last week i have read:
A Florentine Death and A Death in Tuscany by Michele Guittari. Like these a lot, and devoured them each in a day and a half. (

Harvest by Tess Gerritsen - (

Gritty transplant drama, but quite good. Not going to say more as pwca is reading it at the moment and i don't want to spoil it.
Best Served Cold: Joe Abercrombie - good old battle based adventure tale of rewenge and derring do. A great follow on from the Ruud Threetrees saga. Passing this on to my own Threetrees next.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: 1910 Pwca bought this home for me last week and i Devoured it. RAAAR for Moore and O'Neill. also: Orlando - what an equal opportunities ho!
The Elder Gods - David Eddings. well, this was in a pile to go to my next charity book sale, and i hadn't read it. As Mr E passed this week, I gave it a go. Enjoyed this one, but it still suffers from the quirks of the Belgarion, Mallorean and the Sparhawk stories as far as characterisation goes. It all just feels a bit samey.
Currently reading: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier. Because when the four foot tall reading pile fell over from the dressing table at half five this morning (!!!!!!) thank you house boggarts! it was on the top. I hadn't even unsealed it from its packaging. Rectified that and am half way through it.
Also Currently reading: The Uncrowned Kings of England: The Black Legend of the Dudleys by Derek Wilson for my shot of historical fact. The history of the kingmakers family for a bit of Culture on the way to and from work.
only goes to show what a faddy reader i am.
