Ah, Autumn...

This may become something of an annual ritual. we've had the glorious twelfth, we've had august bank holiday, and the little kiddies have gone back to school.

So why does birmingham city council and the retail community want to tell me it's fekking Christmas already?

I would just like to tell the following organisations to cease and desist.

  • The aforementioned BCC. Stop putting up fekking xmas trees in the high street.
  • Sainsblurrys - no one is that desperate to stock up that they need to buy Stollen in the first weeks of September.
  • Pooperdrug. Yes they are pretty gift packs. do you think you could dispense with the little crimble tree flashes on shelf edges until perhaps after Halloween?

Stop bunching up my seasons you bastards!n I want to get spookyday and whitby out of the way before having to think about all that enforced fekking jollity. And don't get me started on how anyone observing Ramadan must feel with this early explosion of Christian Retail celebration(1).

If it's still extremely large spider season, then it surely is not cold enough to be preparing for the midwinter festival.

Right. You've all been warned.

(1) i really want to put some additional mainly colourful and rhythmic extreme swearing in now (2), but second thoughts prevent me. feel free to add your own expletives now.

(2) Come to think of it, why don't we have an extreme swearing event at the paralympics? i would be interested to discuss this in future.
