Grand Rapids. Only two hours away from most of us.
Wovenhand is playing there, at Calvin College, sponsored by the Ladies Literary Club or something.
I'd like to take advantage of my joblessness and go, but it would be better if I could find a travel companion. I could drive or give you gas money if you really wanted to drive, and I could probably even get your ticket (it's only $12 after fees).
There's one opening band. Doors are at 8, and I can't imagine it's going to run as late as your typical show. Somewhere on Calvin's site I saw that they'd designated 8:00-11:00 for the event, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got out that early. Not unheard of, though. I'd say we'd probably get out around 12. So, getting home at 2 am. I know that's late. But I also know you can handle it.
Soooo, let me know. I'm going either way, hopefully, but am more likely to be talked out of it if it's just me, so show some support, eh?
You saw how much I spazzed out at the prospect of seeing him once, how do you think I feel about possibly being able to see him TWICE in the span of TWO DAYS? Yeah, pretty damned excited. I'm just too tired to freak out right now.
And plus, I have a sneaking feeling it's not gonna happen. Yes, this is a guilt trip. Succumb!
