Tidbit: I wrote this for fun at 11pm i didn't type it until 1am so if there are any problems i'll totally fix them when I wake up. And I'm super sorry if this makes no sense, it was just a little something i whipped up. Oh and 100 points to who ever knows the song that i quoted, i left a super hint.

Everyday he’d come in and sip coffee by the window. Everyday he’d look out the window and watch the cars drive past. And everyday he’d leave Key breathless.

Jinki was the man’s name; Key had figured this out by the printed letter’s on his credit card. Jinki had come into Key’s coffee shop everyday for the past couple of months and he’d always follow the same routine.

He’d order coffee, black, and ask for his milk and sugar on the side. Jinki would always come early in the morning, when Key had just opened, and come back again at night, when Key was closing. Jinki came at the times when there was absolutely no one else in the café, just him and Key.

Key didn’t really know anything about the man, but that didn’t stop his heart from beating rapidly. With every coffee encounter, Key became fonder of Jinki and just couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Every time Jinki came, Key would sit and watch him. Jinki’s eyes would follow the cars so carelessly and his lips touched the coffee cup ever so lightly. Key would watch him, wishing that he could feel the touch of those lips on his. But even Key knew that that probably wasn’t going to happen any time soon.

The winter had made the weather colder, the nights longer and Key’s desire for Jinki stronger.

It was late one evening and the snow storm outside had stopped the flow of costumers into Key’s café. Just as Key had flipped the sign on the door, telling the world his shop was closed, Jinki ran inside sporting red cheeks and a snow covered head. Instead of informing Jinki of his early closing, Key quickly went and whipped up the boy’s usual.

As Jinki began to pull his card out from his pocket, Key quickly waved his hand and told Jinki it was on the house. With a sweet smile, Jinki thanked Key and headed to his usual seat. Jinki, as always, sat next to the window and watched the cars go by but this time he did something different. Instead of just quietly sipping his coffee, Jinki waved Key over to his table.

Key shuffled over to the table; a little embarrassed that Jinki had caught him staring. Jinki gestured to the seat in front of him, urging Key to sit. When Key’s butt was firmly placed in the seat Jinki went back to looking out the window.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it” Jinki asked.

Startled, Key nodded and replied “Yes. It is”.

“It’s bitter sweet, don’t you think” Jinki started. “It covers the earth with such beauty, but it is so cold to the touch”.

“Does that cold not remind us of all the worlds warmth though” Key asked, his eyes fixated on Jinki.

The two stared at one another for what seemed like hours. Jinki was the first to move; getting up from his seat and pulling Key outside with him. Jinki went and grabbed a handful of snow and said “this snow is cold, making it bitter". He then walked to Key, getting as close as possible to him without them touching and whispered “the coffee you make is warm, making you sweet”.

Before Key had time to hide his burning red face, Jinki pulled the boy closer and interlocked their lips. At that moment Key could no longer feel the bitterness of the snow on his skin, only the sweetness of Jinki on his lips.
